Microsoft’s keyboard application, SwiftKey, has recently integrated Bing AI, allowing users to easily access the chatbot while typing. This integration is now available on almost all Samsung Galaxy phones with One UI.
As we know, Samsung phones use their own Android interface or launcher, called One UI. This launcher comes with pre-installed SwiftKey keyboard, in addition to Samsung’s default keyboard.
This means that Microsoft Bing AI will automatically be available on Samsung phones, and through the update of SwiftKey version 9.10.11.10, Microsoft confirmed this. For information, SwiftKey with Bing AI integration has been available for general users since mid-April, both on Android and iOS.
Of course, Samsung Galaxy users who do not want to see Bing AI on their keyboard can avoid it by using Samsung’s default keyboard application. You can change the default keyboard application in Settings > Languages and Input > On-Screen Keyboard.
Will Microsoft Bing become the default search engine on Samsung?
Not only through SwiftKey, but Bing AI seems to be further integrated into Samsung Galaxy phones in the future. In a separate report, Samsung is said to be considering changing their default search engine from Google to Bing.
This is after they saw the incredible growth of Bing in just a few months after integrating AI chatbot technology using OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Yes, although this is just a rumor, it is interesting to see the competition among search engines come back to life.
