Twitter Limits the Number of Tweets Visible Each Day

The popular micro-social media platform Twitter has recently undergone rule changes initiated by Elon Musk. Since yesterday, Twitter users have been complaining about being limited in the number of tweets they can see each day.

According to Elon Musk’s statement, Twitter has implemented the following limitations:

  • Verified accounts are limited to viewing only 10,000 tweets per day.
  • Non-Verified accounts are limited to 1,000 tweets per day.
  • New non-Verified accounts are limited to 500 tweets per day.

Users have been expressing their frustration that once they reach these limitations, they are unable to use Twitter normally, as if their Twitter accounts are “locked” until the limits are reset the following day.

There are various speculations circulating that this may be a “sneaky” way for Twitter to encourage users to subscribe to Twitter Blue in order to obtain the Verified symbol and gain access to a much larger number of Twitter posts compared to regular free users.

However, currently neither Elon Musk nor Twitter themselves have mentioned the specific reasons for the current limitations, except that they are temporary in nature.
