Twitter Traffic Plummets Following the Introduction of Threads

The competition between Elon and Mark shows no signs of cooling down; in fact, it continues to intensify and captivate our attention. Recently, Mark’s company, Meta, released Threads, a social media platform integrated with Instagram.

Within just a week, this new social media platform has managed to attract 100 million users. It has also been reported that Twitter’s traffic has experienced a drastic decline since the launch of this new platform.

Twitter Traffic Plunges after the Arrival of Threads

Twitter CEO, Linda Yaccarino, denies the reports suggesting that the success of Threads is the cause of Twitter’s traffic decline. As reported by TechCrunch, Yaccarino appears unconcerned; however, many users have reported that they encounter difficulties when searching for specific user profiles on Threads.

Furthermore, the new CEO also endeavors to assure advertisers that there are plenty of interesting aspects on the blue bird social media platform, and she claims that their traffic has actually increased—especially during the week of Threads’ release.

“Since February, last week was our highest traffic. There’s only ONE Twitter. You know. I know~” she tweeted from her official Twitter account.

However, Yaccarino’s tweet contradicts the statements made by Cloudflare’s founder and CEO, Matthew Prince, who indicates a significant decline in Twitter’s traffic. Since the arrival of Meta’s new social media platform, Twitter has experienced an 11% plunge in traffic year after year.

Indeed, the competition between these two brilliant individuals is entertaining and enjoyable to follow in its development. However, in the world of technology, their rivalry may potentially yield future consequences.

Is this what they call a technological war?

Twitter Threatens to Sue Meta Since the Launch of Threads

The latest social media platform, Threads, which is still part of the Instagram family and recently developed by Meta, seems to be inviting new problems. The blue bird platform appears to be displeased with the launch of this social media platform that bears a striking resemblance to its own.

It feels like only yesterday when Meta, still led by Mark Zuckerberg, developed this social media platform. The platform promises a text and image-based social media experience with a similar approach to its competitors.
