Vivo has unveiled its latest addition to the V29 Series, the Vivo V29 Pro, featuring an extra rear camera and a more robust chipset compared to the standard V29. This release also serves as the follow-up to the earlier V27 Pro, launched earlier this year.
The Vivo V29 Pro now boasts an additional 12MP Sony IMX663 portrait sensor, offering 2x zoom capabilities and an “All-pixel dual-core” autofocus system designed to enhance focusing performance, especially in low-light situations. Meanwhile, the other two cameras, a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, remain consistent with the regular model. Additionally, the signature Smart Aura Light, or ring LED flash with a 15.6mm diameter, is still part of the package.
As a characteristic feature of Vivo’s V-Series, the V29 Pro comes equipped with an impressive 50MP high-resolution selfie camera. Notably, this selfie camera boasts a wide 92-degree field of view and Eye AF capabilities to ensure that facial focus is consistently sharp.
One of the distinguishing factors of the Vivo V29 Pro lies in its chipset. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200, this smartphone outperforms the Snapdragon 778G found in the standard Vivo V29. However, it’s worth noting that the chipset remains the same as that of the previous V27 Pro, with no significant upgrades in this regard compared to its predecessor.
In terms of specifications, the Vivo V29 Pro maintains a similar profile, including its design. The device features a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and an impressive 120Hz refresh rate. With a 4,600mAh battery capacity and 80W fast charging, it offers robust battery performance. Furthermore, the Pro model retains its slim profile, measuring just 7.5mm in thickness, akin to the standard model.
