WhatsApp has released two new features related to groups. One of them is a feature that makes it easier for group admins to manage who can join their groups.
As we know, in addition to being directly invited by the admin, the way to join a group is through an invitation link. Anyone who has the link can join the group directly.
Now, group admins will have broader control over who can join via the invitation link. All requests to join will be available in one place.
In addition, WhatsApp has also added a feature that allows users to easily see people in their contacts who are part of the same group or community.
Both of these features have already started rolling out and will be available to all users globally in the coming weeks. These will be very helpful, especially since WhatsApp has now increased the group capacity to 1,024 users and introduced Communities that can hold up to 50 groups at once.
