Formerly recognized as Twitter, X has introduced a fresh feature known as “Highlights,” catering exclusively to its premium user base under the X Premium subscription. This innovative addition empowers users to showcase their most captivating posts within a dedicated tab on their profile page.
X Premium, previously branded as Twitter Blue, extends its offerings beyond a standard experience by including perks such as reduced advertisements, tweet editing capabilities, and a unique ad revenue sharing scheme. Now, elevating this premium suite of advantages is the introduction of the “Highlights” feature.
Operating this functionality is elegantly simple. Subscribers to X Premium will notice an additional option labeled “Add to Highlight” upon interacting with the three-dot menu on any post. Subsequently, the selected post gracefully finds its place within the distinct “Highlight” tab adorning the user’s profile.
In terms of utility, this concept mirrors the popular “Highlight” feature found on platforms like Instagram. The intention is to allow users to curate their most impactful posts or tweets, enhancing the accessibility for other users to discover and engage with their content. Particularly, this feature holds significant appeal for creators spanning various domains, such as artists, musicians, writers, and content producers.
While Twitter had previously offered the ability to pin or anchor single posts on user profiles, this new feature distinguishes itself by its capacity to store multiple selected posts in one designated space.
It’s essential to emphasize once more that the “Highlights” feature is exclusively accessible to X Premium subscribers. If you’re not part of this premium tier, the dedicated “Highlight” tab won’t manifest on your profile. Nevertheless, you can still experience this feature when exploring the profiles of fellow users who have embraced the premium experience.
