Interestingly, the highest flagship smartphone from Xiaomi will also be available globally, unlike previous Ultra models that were exclusive to the Chinese market.
The news comes directly from Xiaomi and Leica, with the Xiaomi 13 Ultra bringing the best camera technology resulting from the collaboration between the two companies. This includes a unique camera system with a Summicron lens that is first applied to a smartphone.
Unfortunately, there is no exact date for when the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be introduced. Reports suggest that the phone will likely debut in mid-April, while its global launch will be a few months after the announcement in China.

For information, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra is a follow-up model to the Xiaomi 13 Series, which was first released for the Chinese market in December 2022 with standard and Pro models. Apart from significant differences in the camera aspect, the Ultra model’s specifications are expected to be more or less the same as the Pro model.
According to rumors, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and internal storage of up to 1TB of UFS 4.0. The screen itself measures 6.7 inches with a QHD+ resolution E6 AMOLED LTPO panel and a 120Hz refresh rate.
On the front, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will have a 32MP selfie camera, while reportedly having four 50MP cameras on the back. What the configuration will look like is still a mystery, but its capabilities will undoubtedly be outstanding with the latest lens technology from Leica.
