Qualcomm has announced their latest mid-range chipset, the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2. Shortly after, two Chinese manufacturers, Xiaomi and Realme, confirmed the presence of smartphones with the SoC.
The Redmi Note 12 Turbo, which is expected to be released alongside the global launch of the Redmi Note 12 Series on March 23.
The Redmi Note 12 Turbo is rumored to have specifications similar to the Redmi Note 12 Pro. The device comes with a 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display and a 50MP main camera. However, it has a slightly larger battery capacity of 5,500mAh that also supports fast charging of 67W.
Meanwhile, Realme confirmed the presence of the Realme GT Neo 5 SE, which will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest SoC. The phone is expected to come with an AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a 50MP main camera, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage. The GT Neo 5 SE is expected to be released in April.
In addition to the Redmi and Realme phones, there are rumors that Poco is also preparing to launch the Poco F5, powered by the SD 7+ Gen 2, in the near future. However, there is no information on the estimated release date of this phone yet.
