Xiaomi’s President, Lu Weibing, has officially announced that their latest foldable device, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3, will be unveiled in August 2023.
In a statement posted on his official Weibo page, Lu Weibing mentioned that Xiaomi has recently inaugurated its newest smart factory, the “Xiaomi Smart Manufacturing Digital Intelligence System” 2.0, located in Beijing. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will be the first product manufactured in this smart factory.
He also highlighted that the smart factory’s manufacturing system has been enhanced to be smarter and more precise, reaching micron-level precision. This improvement enables the production of the third-generation foldable devices from Xiaomi to be thinner and stronger.
Additionally, it has been reported that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will feature a camera with the renowned Leica brand. Leaks of the specifications suggest that the device will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, offer 5x periscope zoom, and support 50W wireless charging.
Unfortunately, it seems that this product will remain exclusive for the Chinese market and will not be available for sale in other regions.
