Xiaomi has recently unveiled its Redmi Note 13 Series in China, featuring three models: the standard Redmi Note 13, Redmi Note 13 Pro, and Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus. Notably, this lineup is expected to undergo a rebranding transformation, transitioning into the Poco X6 Series for international markets.
This transition is in line with Xiaomi’s strategy of rebranding several of its Redmi devices under the Poco banner. Despite these shifts, both brands remain part of Xiaomi, with each catering to slightly different target demographics.
Among the recent Redmi Note 13 Series releases, the standard model is anticipated to make its debut as the Poco X6, sharing the stage with the Poco X6 Pro. However, the exact model that the Pro version will draw inspiration from, whether the Redmi Note 13 Pro or Pro Plus, remains undisclosed.
The Poco X6, for international markets, is reportedly assigned the model number 2312DRAF3G, while it carries the identifier 2312DRAF3I for India. This device is expected to mirror many of the Redmi Note 13’s specifications, including the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset, a 6.67-inch OLED display boasting a 120Hz refresh rate, a robust 5,000mAh battery, and speedy 33W fast charging. Notably, the primary camera on the Poco X6 is set to feature a 64MP resolution, differing from the 108MP camera found on the Redmi Note 13. Additionally, there may be some minor design tweaks to distinguish the two.
Presently, there is no official release date available for the Poco X6 Series or the Redmi Note 13 Series outside of China. However, based on the initial digits of the Poco X6 model number, there is speculation that this device could hit the market in December of this year. Fans of these smartphones will have to patiently await further announcements.
