Zephyr Unveils New GeForce RTX 3080 12GB and Hints at 4070/4080 Series

Emerging as a fresh player in the GPU industry, Zephyr grabbed headlines a few weeks ago with the launch of their RTX 3060 GPU sporting a distinct pink PCB. But their trajectory doesn’t stop there. Zephyr has since taken strides by introducing multiple RTX 3070 and 3080 GPU models, and now they’re gearing up to tease the impending RTX 40 series graphics cards.

In a recent development, Zephyr has showcased their latest creation, the RTX 3080 12GB model, across social media platforms. This upgraded version belongs to their Spindrift series and arrives with notable enhancements. These include an elevated power delivery system empowered by two additional phases and the incorporation of a fresh thermal pad, a feature set to be adopted in their upcoming RTX 40 series offerings as well.

Not stopping at that, Zephyr has gone on record confirming their plans to introduce the RTX 4070 (Ti) and 4080 models. In a bold move, they’ve unveiled preliminary designs of the PCB to give enthusiasts a glimpse of what’s in store. Adding to the intrigue of the RTX 40 series is an enigmatic small display, details of which have yet to surface. The release strategy for this series involves launching the RTX 4070 and 4070 Ti models first, followed by the subsequent release of the RTX 4080. The cooling solution for these cutting-edge models has now advanced to the testing phase.

As discussions about potential price adjustments have arisen, Zephyr has provided some insights. They suggest that the prices of new AMD products are unlikely to undergo significant changes. Furthermore, the supply of the RTX 4070 (Ti) series is anticipated to remain relatively stable. This projection hints that any future price adaptations might be implemented gradually, if necessary. However, it remains unclear whether Zephyr’s assessment pertains to AMD’s upcoming RX 7900 series or the imminent RX 7800 XT, given that Zephyr does not delve into producing Radeon GPU series.
