After much anticipation, Xiaomi has unveiled its Xiaomi 13T Series to the global audience in a grand event held in Berlin, Germany. This series comprises both regular and pro models. Notably, the regular Xiaomi 13T model retains its Leica-engineered camera system and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultra chipset.
In terms of design, the Xiaomi 13T Series bears a striking resemblance to the Redmi K60 Ultra. Both models feature a boxy frame and a square-shaped camera module. This design choice is consistent across the regular and pro variants, complemented by a slightly curved back panel.
Let’s delve into the specifications of the Xiaomi 13T. It boasts a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with an impressive 1.5K resolution, an adaptive 144Hz refresh rate, and a remarkable brightness level of up to 2,600 nits. Furthermore, the Xiaomi 13T’s display is well-equipped, supporting HDR, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and safeguarded by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Turning our attention to the device’s camera system, which is a standout feature, the Xiaomi 13T is outfitted with a triple-camera setup engineered by Leica. This configuration comprises a 50MP OIS main sensor with a substantial 1/1.28-inch size and a wide f/1.9 aperture, a 50MP portrait telephoto sensor with the same f/1.9 aperture, and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor boasting an f/2.2 aperture.
On the front, there’s a 20MP selfie camera; however, it lacks autofocus. The collaboration between Xiaomi and Leica brings various enhancements, ensuring impeccable color accuracy and providing users with a Pro Mode for manual camera adjustments.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 13T is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultra chipset. This chipset is an adapted version of the Dimensity 8200, customized to cater specifically to Xiaomi devices, including optimizations such as clock speed adjustments. It is paired with a generous offering of up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
Powering this device is a substantial 5,000mAh battery, with support for rapid 67W charging. Additional features include a Vapor Chamber cooling system, an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. Xiaomi 13T runs on Android 13 and holds the promise of receiving four OS upgrades during its lifecycle.
